We believe every child should have the opportunity to reach his or her full potential, both as individuals and citizens – that by doing so, they will not only do well, they will also do good.

Offering child care programs for children and youth since 2010, we intend to serve families needing full time, part time or occasional after school child care for their school aged children. Transportation is provided.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC Child Care Programs are fee for service options operated by, and in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC. Any revenue generated by these programs is invested back into the agency’s core programming to ensure sustainability and create the possibility for growth.

Before & After School Registration

For September 2024 registration, please contact the office at 250-563-7410 in April 2024 to see if there is space for your child at the centre they may need to attend.

BIGS Early Learning Centre (Children 3-5)

Summer Child Care

For Summer 2024 registration, please contact the office at 250-563-7410 in April 2024 to see if there is space for your child.

 Schedule

PROGRAM FEES

Invoices will be issued to parent/guardian a minimum of 3 days before the 1st of the month. Failure to make payment may result in suspension or termination of care. If you encounter any difficulty with payment of fees, please speak with the Administrative Coordinator.

Charges for full day care will be billed following that day. You will only be charged for full day care if your child attended the program that day.

The program does not have free vacation / illness time. If your child is enrolled in the program, monthly fees must be paid in full.

Refunds will not be given if a child is sent home for misconduct.

The Board of Directors reserves the right to change these fees at any time and provide one month written notice. Fees for Spring Break and Summer will be made available at the time registration for those programs open.

As of 2020, our agency has opted in to the British Columbia Fee Reduction Initiative.

Funding & Subsidies

Funding is available through the BC Government Subsidy to help offset some of the cost. Click the button below for more info.
