If you or your Little Brother/Sister is musically inclined, check out some of the below resources and tutorials to either build some beginner skills or improve on what you already know! You’ll need access to a your instrument of choice for most of these, but if you don’t have those available at school you could always watch the videos together and practice in between your visits.

BEGINNER DRUM LESSONS

These brief videos include step-by-step tutorials that allow you to easily follow along at home. These lessons are for beginners, so you can be learning a lot while you watch even if you have no experience playing the drums!

HOFFMAN ACADEMY PIANO LESSONS

While this Beginning Piano playlist is meant for absolute beginners, you can also find dozens of additional piano lessons, music theory guides, and tutorial videos on the full Hoffman Academy YouTube channel.

MUSIC THEORY for BEGINNERS

Interested in learning how to play an instrument but have no prior knowledge? This video is the perfect place to start!

It covers tempo, scales, notes, frequencies, and chords. It moves pretty quickly and covers a lot of info, so watch it a couple times if it is intimidating at first.
